Republic of Dog (“Republic”) owns and operates www.republicofdog.ca (the “Website”), a public-facing platform that provides services to dog owners. Republic also uses third-party software (the “Scheduling Software”) that customers can access to manage their service schedules, view and pay invoices, communicate with the Republic team, and more. These Terms and General Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern your use of the Website and our services, which are also subject to our Privacy Policy (available on the Website) and all applicable laws and regulations.

By completing the registration process, browsing the Website, and/or contracting any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms of Service and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to use the Website or any Services and must discontinue use immediately.

Republic reserves the right to terminate access to the Website for any reason and to take any other actions it deems in its sole discretion to be in the interest of Republic and its users and customers. Republic may modify these Terms of Service without advance notice.

These Terms of Service constitute a binding contract between Republic and you, which you accept by accessing the Website. As a condition of accessing and using the Website and any Services, you represent and warrant that (1) you are of legal age to enter into a binding contract with Republic, (2) you have the authority to enter into these Terms of Service personally or on behalf of the entity you represent, and (3) you have provided accurate and complete information in your communication with Republic.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or cannot make the representations in (1), (2), or (3) above, you are not authorized to use the Website or any Services and must discontinue use immediately. Republic reserves the right to limit the availability of the Website and/or Services to any person, for any purpose, and to any geographic area or jurisdiction at its discretion.

Services:

• Locations: Services are available to dog owners residing within specific postal code and apartment buildings/complexes. Please contact us to determine if Services are available at your address.
• Scheduling: All Services must be scheduled through the Scheduling Software before 5 PM on the previous day. Late bookings must be requested via text at (844) 822-3647. All booking and registration information must be accurate and complete. Republic reserves the right to deny or terminate access if incomplete, incorrect, or fraudulent information is provided.
• Service Hours: Services are available seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, weather permitting.
• Meet and Greet: A Phone and In-Person Meet and Greet is required when you first join. This session, with one of our Pet Care Service Providers (“PCSPs”), allows you to communicate important details about your service requirements. Meet and Greets are complimentary and generally last about twenty minutes. Republic reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for any reason, including but not limited to aggressive behavior.
• Assignment of PCSPs: PCSPs are assigned to care for all pets in your building/complex, with backup associates available as needed. Republic will try to ensure recurring services are handled by the same PCSP.
• Cancelling a Service: Cancellations must be communicated via the Scheduling Software, email, or text by 5 PM the day before the scheduled service. Different policies apply for in-home sitting services. Failure to provide timely notice may result in cancellation fees.
• Holidays: Additional fees apply for services on certain holidays. Please refer to the holiday schedule for details.
• Pick-Up, Drop-Off & Keys: You must provide access to your apartment. Republic will take reasonable measures to protect the security of your keys.
• Delays: If a PCSP is unable to access your dog within ten minutes, the service may be canceled, and you will still be responsible for the full payment.
• Inclement Weather: Services may be canceled or shortened due to unsafe weather conditions, without refunds.
• Timing of Service Events: Services are scheduled within a two-hour window. Republic reserves the right to provide services at any time within this window.
• Vaccinations & Flea/Tick Protection: Dogs must be fully vaccinated and have flea protection. Proof of vaccination may be required.
• Harness & Leash: You must provide a suitable collar/harness. Services may be charged even if not provided due to lack of appropriate gear.
• Feeding: Feeding is included in service time, with specific conditions regarding the provision of food and instructions.
• Pictures, Video & Images: By using the Services, you allow Republic to take and use photos, videos, and images of your dog for promotional purposes.
• Pet Advice: Republic does not warrant any advice provided by its staff. Medical advice should be obtained from a veterinarian.

Pricing and Payment for Services:

• Services and pricing are displayed on the Website and are subject to change without notice.
• Payments must be made via the Scheduling Software. Republic does not store financial information on its servers.
• Billing occurs weekly, and you agree to pay for all services purchased through the Scheduling Software.
• Republic complies with PCI Standards for credit card processing.
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes on the Services.
• Promotional or introductory fees may be offered at Republic’s discretion.

Your Dog:

• You warrant that your dog is free from contagious health conditions and does not exhibit aggressive behavior.
• Prior to group services, dogs must complete at least three one-on-one services for assessment.
• Dogs over six months must be spayed/neutered to participate in group activities. Solo services are available for intact dogs.
• Republic reserves the right to refuse admittance or remove dogs from services if necessary for safety reasons.

Emergencies:

• Republic will contact you or your emergency contact if your dog requires unplanned medical care. You authorize Republic to obtain and authorize veterinary care if you cannot be reached.
• You are responsible for the costs of emergency medical treatment for your dog.

Consent and Release and Waiver of Liability:

• By using the Services, you consent to your dog’s participation in all activities and assume the risks associated with group play or walking.
• You release Republic and its employees from liability for injuries, illnesses, or accidents involving your dog, except in cases of gross negligence.

Acceptable Use Policy:

• You are responsible for your actions on the Website and agree not to engage in unacceptable use, including but not limited to harassment, unlawful content, spam, impersonation, and misuse of personal information.

No Warranty:

• The Website and Services are provided “as is” without warranties. Republic disclaims all warranties and liabilities to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability:

• Republic is not liable for incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages. Liability is limited to amounts paid by you to Republic in the preceding twelve months.

Additional Disclaimer:

• Statements made by Republic are not guarantees. Results may vary based on individual circumstances.

Comment Areas:

• Republic is not responsible for user-generated content in comment areas. Comments are monitored, and inappropriate content may be removed.

Communications:

• Republic may contact you for feedback or support-related issues. Feedback provided to Republic is non-confidential and may be used without compensation.

Arbitration and Applicable Law:

• Disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration. Claims must be brought on an individual basis, not as part of a class action.

Indemnification:

• You agree to indemnify Republic against all damages, losses, and expenses arising from your actions or breach of these Terms.

Release:

• You release Republic from all claims related to your use of the Website and Services.

Severability:
